We thank you for joining us for the 2023 California International Marathon 2-Person Relay!  Below is some important housekeeping you will need to address.  


Schedule of Upcoming #road2CIM Events:

  • Nov 1-Nov 17: Participant Transportation Survey (busing)
  • Nov 5: Run the Parkway - Official CIM Training Run
  • Nov 6: Last day to guarantee shirt size for new team members
  • Nov 17: Last day to complete your team
  • Dec 1: CIM Expo opens at SAFE Credit Union Convention Center
  • Dec 2: Official CIM Shakeout Run hosted by Bare Performance Nutrition
  • Dec 3: Race Day!

  • Follow the instructions below to complete your CIM Start Transportation Survey by NOV. 17
  • To submit your options please follow these steps: 
    • Sign into your Race Roster account here.
    • Click the blue Edit Registration button
    • Click Products at the top of the page
    • Choose your Start Transportation option
    • Review your Personal Information to ensure it is correct
    • Click Save & exit
  • PLEASE NOTE: Both members of your team must fill out the transportation survey.  


Getting to the Start

  • Participants are asked to choose their desired means of arriving to the start on race morning on the Start Transportation Survey by NOV. 17
  • This survey simply assists us with determining the number of buses to order for each location and does not commit the runners to anything. If your plans change for race morning there is no need to contact us.
  • Buses and shuttles are free to all runners. Please review the options for Getting to the Start before filling out the survey.
  • A comprehensive video explaining the race day transportation can be found here.
  • Reminder: There are no gear check services at the start line or at the relay exchange zone.  Gear check services are available during operating hours at the CIM Expo and during bus Loading (at Location A) at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. 
  • Relay Leg 1 (CIM Start Line: 7550 Folsom-Auburn Rd, Folsom)
    • Relay runners should follow the same protocol as marathon runners for getting to the start.
    • Bus transportation from relay exchange zone 1 (end of leg 1) is available for all relay runners back to the marathon finish at the State Capitol.
    • There are no buses that transport runners back to the start or back to their hotels.
  • Relay Leg 2 (Relay Exchange #2: 4010 Manzanita Avenue, Carmichael)
    • Do not take the bus to the marathon start!
    • Relay runners are allowed to take the Leg 2 bus or may have someone drop them off at the relay exchange zone.
    • Bus transportation for leg 2 will ONLY be available from Pick-Up Location A (K Street between 13th and 14th).
    • Buses leave at 7:00 a.m. (Do NOT take the earlier buses from this location that head to the marathon start!)


Personal Registration Information - Registration Questions  

When you log in to your Race Roster Dashboard for the bus survey, don't forget to double check your personal information to make sure it is all correct. You will be able to make updates to information like: date of birth, gender, address or phone number, expected finish time, and emergency contact information. 


Deadline to Complete Teams

The deadline to complete your relay team is November 17. Beyond the deadline, team information can only be updated at the Relay Solutions desk at the CIM Expo.  Runners missing the deadline will not be guaranteed a shirt size.  Any team members added or changed during the expo with have to pick up their shirts at the marathon finish line, while supplies last. 

There will be no relay registration available once the event sells out.  However, team edits can still be made at the end of the expo.
