Marathon Transfers Open October 1
- Standard (Orange), Worry-Free (Gold), and Late Entries are eligible for transfers.
- Transfer to another runner - transfer window will open October 1. For more information visit our registration page.
- Need assistance finding someone who would like to purchase your bib? Please visit the transfer message board on our website.
- Note for Late Entries - Though you do have the option to transfer your entry to another runner, you will only be refunded for the amount of the Worry-Free (Gold) Level Entry, the remainder has already been designated to our charity program and is still tax deductible for you.
- Transfer to relay - Open now. For more information visit our registration page.
Registration Solutions Breakdown
- Unprotected Entry (Blue): Non-transferable, Non-deferrable, no refunds, no exceptions. This includes any deferred entries from 2024.
- Standard Entry (Orange): Transferable entries -- Non-deferrable
- Worry-free (Gold) and Late Entries: Transferable OR Deferrable
- Not sure what you purchased? Check here.
Deferrals:
- Worry-Free (Gold) and Late Entries are eligible for deferrals. For more information visit our registration page.
- The deferral process is initiated by simply not picking up your bib at the 2025 Expo
- Any Worry-Free or Late Entry runners who do not claim their bib at the 2025 Expo will receive a registration code via email by January 2026 that they must use to register themselves for 2026 CIM.
- If you claim your bib at the Expo, you void your opportunity to defer, regardless whether you run the race or not.
Changes coming to our on-course nutrition! We’re excited to welcome back Precision Fuel & Hydration as the Official Fuel and Hydration Partner of the California International Marathon. This year you’ll find their Carb & Electrolyte Drink Mix alongside plain water at all aid stations to help you stay fueled as well as hydrated. Race Morning Transportation Intention Form - Coming Soon!
In the October Newsletter you will find the Transportation Intention Form. We will ask all runners to please fill out this form by November 21, letting us know how you plan to get to the start race morning. You can start reviewing your options on our website.
