The Sacramento CommUNITY Run Series is a FREE, year-long challenge designed to UNITE and connect Sacramento runners with community-driven running events in the Sacramento area. This series showcases a variety of grassroots running events organized by local clubs and organizations, encouraging runners and walkers to UNITE to explore new running events while supporting community fitness and community growth.

How It Works:
- Sign Up for the Series
- Register for FREE right here.
- Note: Signing up for the Series does NOT register you or guarantee registration for any of the individual events on the Series—this registration simply signs you up to be part of the series, records your shirt size, and allows us to track your progress on the Series so you can receive communications and rewards throughout the year, including the commemorative medal at the end.
- Note: While registration for the Series is free, you must still pay for and register separately for each individual event you wish to participate in.

- Participate and Earn Your Rewards!
- SRA will be at each event with a table to track your attendance and distribute rewards
- Pick up your FREE CommUNITY Run Series T-shirt onsite at your first event from the SRA booth.
- Attend at least 4 events on the Series to earn a special commemorative CommUNITY Run Series medal.

The 3rd Annual Black History Month Family 5K Run/Walk, hosted by Black Men Run Sacramento, is an inclusive event welcoming runners and walkers of all levels to celebrate Black History Month while supporting the Greater Sacramento Urban League. At NorCal Physiotherapy or virtually from anywhere, with net proceeds benefiting GSUL’s impactful community work.

Not Just for Runners 5K & 1-Mile Community Walk/Run/Roll

The Not Just For Runners (NJ4R) 5K & 1-Mile Community Walk/Run/Roll and Health Fair returns in 2025, bringing together people of all ages and fitness levels for a day of movement, wellness, and community connection. With a focus on marginalized communities, the event promotes mental and physical health while linking participants to local wellness organizations, featuring Class offerings, medals, swag, and a vibrant health fair.

Sacramento Pride 5k Run/Walk

The 2025 Sacramento Pride 5K Run/Walk is a celebration of the strength, perseverance and love of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you’re a fitness novice or a seasoned runner, this is a wonderful way to experience Pride Month along with your friends, family and allies. Let’s get our hearts racing toward the rainbow finish line!

Sacramento Running Week
Date: September 14-20, 2024
Sacramento Running Week is a weeklong celebration where you can explore local running groups by joining group runs and social events. Simply show up to any event, take a photo to document your participation, and send it or show it to SRA at the next event check-in to count it as a Community Run Series event!

Day of The Dead 5K
Date: October 26, 2025
The Remembering Our Grandparents – Day of the Dead 5k honors Día de los Muertos, inviting participants to dress in festive outfits or spooky costumes. The race offers a scenic course, a challenging final stretch, and a celebratory tamale at the finish. Kids’ races are also included, making it a fun and memorable event for all ages.
