Let the Taper Begin!

The 41st edition of the California International Marathon is less than two weeks away and we know you are getting as excited as we are to reach your destination - the CIM finish line!  Be sure to follow your taper plans carefully and make sure you have completed all required action plans so that you are CIM ready. 


  • Nov 22: Transportation Intention form extension 

Reminder: Transportation Intention Form Due NOW! If you have not already done so, please log into your Race Roster account to make your race day transportation choices. We will keep the form open until November 22.  

Note: Pick-up locations HAVE changed since last year. Be sure to review all options closely and choose accordingly.

THERE ARE NO GEAR CHECK SERVICES OFFERED AT THE START LINE.  Gear check services are available during operating hours at the CIM Expo and during Bus Loading at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.

Do you have friends or family members coming to CIM to cheer you on?  Please direct them to our Spectator Guide on the CIM website.  There you will find the best locations for viewing the race and the best driving routes for avoiding the course and race day traffic.  

Still in need of a few good volunteers! If you have any friends or family that would like to help, specifically with the relay or bus loading on race morning, please reach out to volunteer@runsra.org.

Sutter Health is the official Sports Medicine Partner of the California International Marathon. They are partnering with RaceSafe to create a standard of care and safety for our running community! RaceSafe software provides quick, secure access to our athletes' health profiles to direct better care.  To ensure maximum safety on race day, we strongly recommend that you provide health information to our Sutter Health CIM medical team in advance. This will help the medical team promptly care for you in an emergency. Smile! MarathonFoto will be there to photograph your accomplishments on race day. Be sure to have your bib visible and keep an eye out for our photographers in the bright colored vests along the course!
