GETTING TO THE START
Please note:There are two significant changes in how you can get to the Start Line this year. First, due to construction at the Convention Center, Start Line Bus Locations A1 and A2 have moved to 11th St & J St and 11th St & K St, respectively. Second, in Folsom, the North Drop-off Location has been replaced by Runner Drop-off Shuttle Location 3 at 8595 Auburn-Folsom Rd (Auburn-Folsom Rd & Douglas Blvd), Granite Bay. Your bib will NOT get you through the road closure at Eureka Rd, and if you try to get through you will be turned around and directed back to Runner Drop-off Shuttle Location 3.
All CIM participants must fill out the Start Line Transportation Surveyby November 8, 2019! This form includes important pick-up and drop-off location information. Please only fill out this form one time.
Not sure where the bus pick-up spots are located? Check the busing map –HERE!
Once you have selected a location and filled out the form, you do NOT need to notify us if your Start Line transportation plans change.
DEFFERALS
Don't think you will be able to join us this year? Our 2019 deferral window will open on October 28 and close on November 15. Here is what you need to know:
Visit here during the deferral window (10/28-11/15) to register for your 2019 Deferral.
A $49 fee will be charged to cover costs already incurred and the administration of this program.
Deferring your 2019 marathon entry DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY REGISTER YOU FOR 2020. You will receive registration instructions, via email, in early 2020.
Once you defer, your 2019 CIM entry will be removed and can not be reinstated.
LODGING
Still looking for a place to stay? As the deferral window opens, hotel rooms could potentially open as runners remove themselves from the 2019 CIM. Please contact the hotel you are interested in during the deferral window to grab rooms as they become available.
CIM EXPO – NEW LOCATION
Due to the construction occurring at the Sacramento Convention Center the 2019 CIM Expo will be at the Sleep Train Arena (1 Sports Parkway, Sacramento, CA 95834). Shuttle service from downtown will be available. Please visit our website for the most up-to-date expo information.

SATURDAY 5KS AND CAPITOL CHALLENGE
Capitol 5K – Join us for the Capitol 5k to shake out your legs before CIM. Get a sneak peak of the CIM finish line and have your friends and family join in on the CIM weekend festivities. Register here.
Capitol Challenge – Interested in running the 5k and want some extra bling? Sign up for the Capitol Challenge and run both the Capitol 5k on Saturday and Marathon on Sunday to receive a third challenge medal. Runners must be registered specifically for the challenge to receive the challenge medal and space is limited. You can add the Challenge to your CIM registration here.
UC Davis Children's Hospital maraFUNrun 5K – Would you like to get your kids involved CIM weekend? The maraFUNrun 5k is free to all kids under 18, if registered before race weekend. Register here.
