California International Marathon CIM State Capitol Finish Line

Attention: Please complete your team by November 12. After the 12th you will not be able to make any updates to your team until the CIM Expo. If your team is not complete before the November 12th deadline we cannot guarantee your shirt sizes. Any runners added to teams after November 12 will not be able to pick up their shirts until after the race, at the CIM finish line, while supplies last. All teams will have their race day photos and video audited, and any team that consists of only one runner running the full marathon distance will be disqualified. The relay is intended for 2-, 3-, or 4-person teams ONLY!

The CIM Relay Challenge allows runners to participate in the marathon experience, have access to race support and enjoy the camaraderie of team competition, without committing to run the 26.2-mile distance.

Although most teams have four people, you may enter a two- or three- person team in the CIM Relay Challenge.

Register by Monday November 12 to guarantee your shirt size. All runners registering after November 12 will be asked to pick up their shirts at the finish line, after the race.Two person teams can still register under the 3/4 person team registration option.

Important Note About the CIM Relay Challenge Registration:

Registering a Team
The team captain can register and pay for the entire team.
If you are registering your entire team, simply click “Register Another” when you come to the end of registration. As long as you enter your team name, you will not be charged for the subsequent registrations. If you want your teammates to register themselves, have them enter the team name when prompted. Please make sure they choose ‘Join a Team’ rather than ‘Create a Team’ on the registration page. They will not be charged for their registration (the team captain pays the registration fee). It is important that all team members’ information be entered so all members will receive the same race benefits.

Relay Team Registration Information
The team captain registering a team for the relay will be allowed to complete the contact and team information and submit payment for the whole team. If a team captain is registering the entire team, the team captain will need the following required information for all team members before beginning the online registration process:

  • Name
  • Gender
  • Birthdate
  • Email
  • Address
  • Cell Phone
  • Emergency Contact and Phone number
  • T-Shirt Size for each member

Cancellation Policy:

No refunds. No deferrals. Once you have completed the registration process you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate and you may not defer your entry fee to a future race.
