SRA AmbasSRAdor, J.R. is the perfect example of what is means to be passionate about the Sacramento running community: “What I love most about running in Sacramento is how many people that run in this city. I am associated with a group in Sacramento called @9run6 that promotes free fitness and running. Thanks to 9Run6, I was able to come out of my shell and open my eyes to the streets of Sacramento. I love how welcoming the running community is in Sacramento. Whether running the streets of downtown with 9Run6 at 6am on a Wednesday or Friday morning or running with @sloppymooserunningclub on a Thursday evening at @newhelvetiabrew on Broadway, there will always be a supportive group of individuals to cheer you on

SRA AmbasSRAdor introductions continue! Meet our AmbasSRAdor @_sage_120, she tells us why she enjoys running: “Hi everyone! My name is Michele and I am a runner who is fueled by plants ? (and doughnuts)! Running has always had this magical way of making me feel at peace and it’s given me the opportunity to work through anything that is weighing on my mind, especially during a long run. After training for the Philadelphia Marathon in 2016, the journey of the training process allowed me to see just how capable I am and it has helped me appreciate my own strength (both mental and physical) and my ability to persevere. I’m so excited to be part of this running community and I’m looking forward to meeting other fellow runners who will continuously inspire me here in Sacramento

Meet SRA AmbasSRAdor, @imbaade: “My name is Stacy Baade. I am a wife, mom, coffee shop owner, Ironman, and a kidney recipient. I started running after I received my donated kidney. My first goal was to complete CIM which, I did a year after my transplant. Since then I’ve run thousands of miles on our beautiful trails. The Sacramento running community is made up of some of the best people and I end up chatting with many of them during some of my training runs

Happy Sunday! Who got in their run this morning? ?‍♀️?‍♂️ Meet SRA AmbasSRAdor @lizaroo. She tells us what makes Sacramento the best city to run in: “The Sacramento area is hands-down the best for running! We are blessed with near perfect running weather year-round, miles of uninterrupted bike trail along TWO rivers with access to water fountains and restrooms (score!!), an AWESOME network of parks and greenbelts, and the greatest running community around! Whether on a training run or at a local race, I can always spot a familiar face or make a new friend. The community is so accepting, encouraging and supportive, it always feels like home
