RACE START / FINISH

Race day headquarters will be located in and around the Sacramento State University Alumni Center, near the intersection of College Town Drive and Stadium Drive.

The start line for the 5K and 10K will be on College Town Drive outside Hornet Stadium.  This is the opposite side of the field from Packet Pick-up.  The finish will be the goal line on the football field located inside Hornet Stadium.

Children racing in either the UC Davis Hospital Future Stars' 1K or Pee Wee 40-Yard Dash will report to the field inside Hornet Stadium by 7:55 a.m. From there, race staff will lead the 1k runners to the Start Line just outside the stadium, and then the 40-yard dash will be run entirely inside the stadium.

PACKET PICK-UP DETAILS

Save race morning time and stress! We highly encourage all participants to pick up their race packets on Saturday.

You will need to know your bib number before you arrive! You can look up your bib number HERE. If you are picking up for a friend you will need to know their bib number as well.

Bib Ranges:

  • 10k 1-1700
  • 5k  2001-3100
  • Challenge - 3501-3610
  • Untimed 5k 3801-4300
  • Kids' 1k and 40-Yard Dash - all #1

Saturday, February 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Fleet Feet Sports (2311 J Street). For directions click Here

Fun Fact: Our longest lines are just as packet pick-up opens.  To avoid this line we suggest coming in the afternoon.  Also, the packets will leave the building at 6:00 p.m. on the nose.  Never fear, though!  If you miss your packet on Saturday you will still be able to pick up Sunday morning.

Sunday, February 2 starting at 7:00 a.m.: Packet pick-up will also be available on race day at race HQ near the Sac State Alumni Center.

Shirt sizes are guaranteed to anyone registering before Monday, January 27. If you registered after the shirt deadline and you do not see a shirt size on the back of your bib, please pick up your shirt after the start of the 10K near the results tent.

Planning to switch races? No problem! Find us at the "Solutions" desk at packet pick-up and we can get you sorted out.

Champions Challenge Participants! You will be able to pick up your bibs during the regular packet pick-up times and locations. Look for the sign that says Champions Challenge (at the same table as 5K pick-up) so that you do not wait in the wrong line. Once you have your bib you can head to your staging area, located very close to packet pick-up race morning. Participants in the Champions Challenge will be allowed to leave their gear in the Challenge staging area--you must use the clear bags that will be provided at packet pick-up or your bag will not be accepted! Your Super Bowl-style Champions Challenge Rings will be available in the Champions Challenge staging area after the completion of the 10K.

If you missed registration for the Champion Challenge we are so sorry but it is sold out for this year. Please note you must specifically be registered for the Challenge to participate. Simply registering for both the 5k and 10k does not automatically include you in the Challenge.

EVENT PARKING

Event parking will be available in the parking lots surrounding the Sac State Alumni Building, Lots 7 and 8. Parking is free to all runners.  Click here to view the available lots (scroll to bottom of page for maps).

Give yourself PLENTY of time to park and walk to the start.  We suggest arriving at least an hour early.

RACE DAY WEATHER

Currently the weather forecast for game day looks partly cloudy with a chance of rain and temperatures around 50 degrees at kick-off. We will be running rain or shine so be sure to dress appropriately.

BIKE VALET

SABA will be hosting a FREE bike valet for all participants and volunteers located near the packet pick-up area.

POST-RACE TAILGATE PARTY

Celebrate your big finish with us at the Finish Festival! Start your Super Bowl party at the Super Sunday Run!  Post-race food and refreshments will be available for all 5k and 10k finishers inside the Alumni Center.

BEER GARDEN

All finishers over 21 years of age (photo ID required) will receive a FREE post-race beer on the patio of the Alumni Center, courtesy of Sierra Nevada.   Please drink responsibly and have a designated driver.  If you need to be picked up after the event please have your driver meet you in Lot 7.
