July 15, 2020 – COVID-19 Update
We recognize the continued uncertainty surrounding public events, and CIM race organizers are still closely monitoring all developments related to COVID-19 in partnership with local health authorities. At this point in time, we are still planning to host CIM as scheduled on Dec 6, 2020. However, given the rapidly changing environment around the virus, the status of our event is subject to change.
Our “Worry-Free” Registration Policy is still in place to protect participants if the race is unable to be conducted in December. Additionally, we will maintain our standard deferral program for affected participants to utilize in November if the event is, in fact, able to be conducted as scheduled. We hope that this provides as much “peace of mind” as possible as we all embark on “The Road to CIM” together with cautious and responsible optimism.
The Sacramento Running Association wishes to assure everyone that the health and well-being of our community, our participants, volunteers, employees, and all event stakeholders is our top priority. We plan to provide another update by the end of August; in the meantime, we look forward to having you join us on the “Road to CIM”.
