“I call it the best worst-day of your life because you’ll experience pain, fatigue, doubt, joy, and pride like you’ve never felt in your life. Running a marathon will push you to your breaking point and then ask you what you’ve got left.” – @kellykkroberts This description of a marathon is so accurate. It isn’t going to be easy, but it will be worth it by webmaster | Oct 25, 2017 | Instagram
CIM training update from @that_runner_girl_goes: “Everyone knows that putting in the miles is a necessary component of marathon training, but what is easily forgotten is cross training! Adding in some strength training, consistent stretching, and endurance cross training has been a huge bonus to my workouts. It is so easy to jump on your bike and ride down the bike trail, to not only give you a different feeling on your usual routes, but also encourage the muscles to be used in various ways. I love that cycling builds leg strength without putting stress on the knees and as always, engage that core! @clifbar is such an easy piece of the training puzzle. It’s easy to grab-and-go, making sure I have all the fuel I need to get in a strenuous workout and recovery properly by webmaster | Oct 24, 2017 | Instagram

“Running to me is many things but most importantly it reminds me that every cause has an effect. With running, there are very few excuses and no such thing as “luck”. You put in the work day in and day out and you get better. If you decide not to run for a week, that’s fine, but you won’t get faster. It’s taught me how to take responsibility and to look at myself first when trying to solve anything.” – @therealmattduffy by webmaster | Oct 16, 2017 | Instagram
