Who is your greatest inspiration and why? I’d have to say my teammate Kim Conley. She was an inspiration to me before I even knew her just because her story really stuck with me, but being her teammate and seeing how hard she works everyday inspires me even more. I had a picture of her from the 2012 trials on my wall when I was in college, I don’t think she knows that….
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role? Hm… I have a lot of favorite actors but not many that would play a good Lianne. It would have to be someone funny but a little awkward, maybe Amy Poehler or Aubrey Plaza. A comedian for sure!
If you were stuck on an island and could only bring 1 person, who would you bring? That’s hard because I don’t think I would want to be alone on an island with just one person, we would drive each other insane. But I’d have to choose my sister, Suzy. She is a lot like me so we would know to give each other space. Also she is in the Marine Corp so I could trust her to protect me from any threatening island creatures.
If you were not a runner, what would you aspire to be? I’d like to work for a shoe company doing advertising or graphic design, that’s what I studied in college at least. I also want to be an NCAA coach. I don’t think I’d ever be able to step away from the running community completely. But in this situation I am not a runner at all so… probably an artist!
What running accessory could you not live without? My Garmin!
