Who is your greatest inspiration and why? Meb Keflezighi – he’s a fierce competitor who gets the job done on the big stage, always rising to the occasion when it counts. He’s also a super nice guy, down to earth, and a great ambassador for the sport.
First or favorite Olympic memory: Watching the 2008 Track & Field Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon with my brother, Brendan. We road-tripped from Davis to Eugene to watch the Trials, and that’s where the goal of running in the Trials myself first took hold.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role? Blake Lively
If you were stuck on an island and could only bring 1 person, what would you bring? My husband – he’s a doctor, and much more resourceful than I am! Plus he’s good company
If there was a #hashtag that best describes you, what would it be? #runjoyfully
What is your guilty pleasure? Ice cream and celebrity gossip
If you were not a runner, what would you aspire to be? A triathlete – I grew up as a swimmer and have always wanted to try triathlons.
What running accessory could you not live without? My watch – I never run without it (and have a nice watch tan to prove it!)
