The Sacramento Running Association (SRA), on behalf of the entire running community in Sacramento, extends our sincerest condolences to the victims and their families of today’s bombings at the Boston Marathon. Our thoughts are also with all the runners, spectators, volunteers and staff that were witness to this tragic event. The SRA offers our full support to the Boston Athletic Association (BAA).
The California International Marathon (CIM) qualifies roughly 1,600 runners for the Boston Marathon on an annual basis, 400 of which participate in any given year.
We encourage all Sacramento-area runners to visit the SRA and CIM Facebook pages to offer your thoughts and support to those affected by today’s disaster.
