Relaunch Racing Series COVID-19 Protocol

COVID-19 Precautions:

Stay at Home Policies

Staff, volunteers and participants will be instructed to remain at home if:

  • They have tested positive for COVID-19 or have experienced signs/symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of the event
  • They have been in  close contact with a person who has symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of the event, vaccinated or not

Health Screening Policy

 Staff , volunteers and participants will undergo and PASS a race-day COVID-19 health screening to enter the event area

  • The Health Screening will include questions related to the signs, symptoms and exposure to COVID-19

Social Distancing Policy

  • All event spaces and timelines are designed to allow for plenty of room between participants, staff, and volunteers
  • Staff, volunteers and participants are required to maintain 6 feet of social distance from fellow participants at all times
  • While running, participants are asked to pass with at least 6’ clearance 

Face Covering Policy

Face coverings will be required for all staff, volunteers and participants in all event spaces including but are not limited to the start area, aid stations, finish area, etc… In addition:

  • Participants are required to wear face coverings anywhere on the course where they may come within 6 feet of someone else
  • Participants are required to wear face coverings directly after crossing the finish line until returning to their vehicle
  • Participants are required to provide their own face coverings

Spectator/Gathering Policy

  • Only registered participants will be admitted into designated events spaces including the start area, startline, course aid stations, finish line, finish area and packet pick up
  • Absolutely no spectators
  • Upon completion of the race, participants are expected to swiftly exit the finish area and back to their vehicles. Congregating is not permitted

 Participant Responsibilities

  • Participants understand that the current health situation is dynamic and ever-changing. Changes to the event may happen with short  notice. Reading race communications (emails/newsletters)  and checking the race website often will be essential to staying up-to-date on race plans and procedures
  • Participants will select their race day report time and agree to arrive at that assigned time only. Participants arriving early or late will not be permitted into the event space
  • Participants agree to complete all warm ups and bathroom usage prior to their report time, as they will be unable to do so once they have entered the start area 
    • Participants agree to wear face covering and maintain 6 feet of social distance during all warm-up activities 
    • Runners will start their race within 15 minutes of their report time
  • Participants understand that gear check will not be available at any location on race day
  • Participants agree to follow all event signage, physical barriers, visual markers and broadcast announcements to help maintain proper social distancing in all event spaces
  • Participants agree to view/read all educational material outlining event operations and procedures prior to race day
  • Participants agree to carry all required nutritional needs
  • Participants are encouraged to research and abide by local and national travel restrictions and quarantine guidelines
  • Participants are encouraged to email questions regarding the event or registration issues to info@runsra.org before race weekend to avoid visiting the solutions booth or information booth  
Rules and Guidelines for All Entrants:
  • No pets
  • No unregistered runners, walkers, spectators or pacers
  • Wearing headphone, iPods or Walkman-type radios is discouraged
  • No bicycles, unicycles, tricycles, inline skates, blades, or skateboards are allowed in any race
  • Baby joggers are not allowed
  • Hand crank bicycles are not allowed at the Relaunch Racing Series and there is no official hand crank division. If you are a disabled athlete who would like to participate in a hand crank bicycle, you may request an accommodation through USA Track & Field’s ADA Accommodations Request process. (Please note: Evaluation of this request may take 4-6 weeks.)
  • Runners who do not finish within the cut-off times should not expect on-course support (medical, aid stations, course marshals) and may not receive an official finish time
  • No one other than the runner who officially registered may use the bib number with timing tag issued to that runner. Transferring and/or selling your bib is illegal
  • Bib numbers must not be altered, should be worn on the front of the runner, and be clearly visible at all times
