California International Marathon Charity Program

Official Partner Charities (2-5 charities annually)

• Interested charities fill-out application form
• SRA Staff and Board to choose Official Partner Charities annually
• Benefits to Official Partner Charity:
  • Up to 20 total comp entries (no more than 15 entries in any one event)
    • Charity will receive comp codes to distribute and codes must be redeemed by participants by October 15th
  • Opportunity to purchase additional entries at group rate ($99 – Marathon; $140 – Relay)
    • Group entries must be purchased by charity and redeemed by participants by October 15th
  • Finish line tent at CIM
  • Recognition as Official Partner Charity
  • Discounted sponsor package (Program ad, expo booth, Virtual race bag, etc.)
  • Proceeds from CIM Charity Registration period ($125 of each registrations donated to
    • Registrants have opportunity to select Official Partner Charity from pull-down menu that they would like their registration fee to support
  • Requirements of Official Partner Charity:
    • Official Partner Charity must fill-out application and meet specified criteria
    • Official Partner Charity must provide at least 30 volunteers for race weekend
    • Official Partner Charity must fill-out Post-Event Report to report fundraising totals

Affiliated Charities (5-10 charities annually)

• Interested charities fill-out application form
• SRA Staff and Board to choose Affiliated Charities annually
• Benefits:
  • Up to 5 total comp entries
  • Opportunity to purchase additional entries at group rate ($99 – Marathon; $140 – Relay)
  • Recognition as Affiliated Charity
  • Discounted sponsor package (Program ad, expo booth, Virtual race bag, etc.)
• Requirements:
  • Affiliated Charity must fill-out application and meet specified criteria
  • Affiliated Charity must fill-out Post-Event Report to report fundraising totals

Charity Volunteer Program

• Benefits:
  • Recognition as Charity Volunteer Program organization
  • T-shirt provided to all volunteers
  • Donation to organization based on volunteer totals
• Requirements:
  • Organization must apply with volunteer coordinator
  • Organization must provide minimum of 30 volunteers for race week
